Stray Current Consultation
Stray currents are electrical currents that emmit from their designed path, reach undergound infrastructures and building foundations in their surrounding, and cause accelerated corrosion.
This corrosion causes leakage in underground piping and reinforced concrete delamination in building foundations.
A current of 1 Amper removes approximately 1 kg of steel within a only 1 month.
Current standardization evaluates stray current risk radius at up to 3 kilometers from light rail tracks (NTA, Citypass), or tain tracks (IsraRail)
Other sources for stray currents are:
High voltage and super-high voltage lines, gas and oild pipes and tanks that have cathodic protection systems.
We offer a variety of stray current consultation services:
– Evaluation of stray current sensitivity and risk assessment
– Stray currents activity and damage test planning and consultation
– Stray current resilience planning
– Stray current monitoring and mitigation planning
– Reduction of stray currents from cathodic protection systems
– Reduction of stray currents from electric rail tracks
